Is the recommended 200% dragon xp bonus the total number you get when you add your base dragon xp bonus to your biome specific dragon xp bonus? Or is it recommended to have your base bonus at 200% regardless of the biome specific dragon xp bonus?

I responded to you in another thread, but for thoroughness,

Either or, the 200% is mentioned by many becuase you want to hold off feeding your dragons as long as possible. This maximizes the XP from each piece of chow you feed your dragons.

I personally did it off of the base 200%. But, the longer you can wait before feeding your dragons the better.

Let me know if you need further clarification.

I see. Thank you for the clarification. I wonder which one Hus meant when he first suggested it.

I’ll message him next time I see him in CC, I can almost guarantee it’s the base XP bonus.

Since there were no biomes when I originally proposed this minimum bonus percentage before feeding, technically it’s a total of 200%. So 180% base + 20% biome is fine. But I will for the sake of new, fresh and updated content say that I now recommend a minimum of 250% total bonus in light of the added boost from biomes. I think that is a very reachable mid-level number to aspire for. My current total boost is 500% so I’m thinking end game max is probably 750% - 800%

I’ve been working on boosting dragon xp & it seems like it’s tajrn me a while just to get in the 100s. What are your suggestions for boosting dragon xp percentage?

Dragon altairs/spire is the quickest and only way to increase your general xp bonus.

When you start out your ideal build should be focused on Alters, Studies and Embassies and to a lesser extent, Wards and Treasuries. The main 3 will be what will show the biggest difference but don’t sleep on the power of the lesser 2. The general consensus is that farms/quarry’s are completely worthless and I agree. I know this is slightly off topic but it applies because this isn’t a game of singular focus...they all have a synergistic effect to your overall experience. Anyways happy growing 👍🏾

Is it a good idea to break higher level relics for lower ones?

While higher level relics are harder to get, you can form bigger ones by combining lower level ones, so if you don't have a relic for your dragon, you could break the one right above the one you need in level. It'll only be a little annoying to put them back together again, but it's not impossible to do.

Thank you for the answer. Yh, I started doing that since I find it more important to get the relics on the dragons rather than saving them

Yep, it's way more useful to have the dragon equip the relic than to just save it. All those missed bonuses, lol

Is there a guide of which dragons are good and which ones aren’t worth focusing on? What tier various dragons are? That sorta thing?

So hyped to see that you’re here, Hus. Maybe someday I’ll understand this game enough to track you down and say hi. Two days in, I don’t think I’m ever gonna catch up to you. As usual! :)

It depends on what you’re trying to do, obviously your preferred biome is what you’ll want to focus on at first such as grassland so quartz will need to be leveled up a bit as it’s your primary defense dragon, ranking up and tiering your dragons improve the attacking power and abilities

There isn't a guide on that, unfortunately. All of the dragons are good though. It really does depend on what you want to focus on.
There are PvP dragons if your focus is battling other players, there's also PvE dragons if your main focus is attacking monsters. You'll need both types of dragons though. Even if you're mainly focused on attacking monsters and only decide to work on PvE dragons, you'll want at least some PvP dragons in your selected biome.
Even if you only want to focus on PvP because burning cities is your game, you'll want PvE dragons because you can't unlock your 2nd set of PvP dragons without having a PvE march strong enough to defeat the monsters of the land. AND then there are the events like Crypt/Boneyard/LoveSick where you need to be able to hit monsters of specific levels for your TH to be able to kill the monsters and collect the even items.

I don't have a breakdown of all the percentages from ranking up and tiering up, but even if my main focus is grasslands or badlands or swamp, I'll still want to get some of my other biomes up too. There's no need to be 100% well rounded, but don't neglect all of your other dragons. You gain XP by battling monsters with them, so your PvE dragons will grow just fine, but you can always help things along with your PvP dragons by attacking monsters with them too. You'll end up with an extra hit or 2 to kill the monsters, but if you're low on food or are saving up until you get enough XP from upgrading all of your Dragon Altars, hitting monsters with them is a reasonable way of getting their levels up, and if you don't hit monsters and titans, you'll never tier up your dragons since you need to get relics from them.

    Swamp PvP: Bubbles/Mothuselah
    Badlands PvP: Yyrrrkk/Bonesy
    Grasslands PvP: Quartz/Salty

    Swamp PvE: Frank/Mi-Go
    Badlands PvE: Chomper/Bertha
    Grasslands PvE: Ruby/Bovis

I stole this quote from GeeWhizz_ATA when he was announcing the leg dragons...
"The Legendary dragons are a paid feature. You pay for the shards and for the most part, for the dragons.
    Captain Sparkles Grasslands PvE/Grasslands PvP
    Wrot Badlands PvE/Badlands PvP
Rekker & Bob Swamp PvE/Swamp PvP

All Legendary Dragons have three active abilities:
    - Monster Attack Bonus (40% to over 400%)
    - PvP Attack Bonus (40% to over 400%)
    - PvP Defender Bonus (40% to over 400%)

Each Dragon also has a unique passive ability:
    - Captain Sparkles Passive: Construction Speed Boost (5% to 80%)
    - Wrot Passive: Research Speed Boost (5% to 80%)
    - Rekker & Bob Passive: Troop Training Speed Boost (5% to 80%)"

Which dragons you focus on will be up to you, and what path you choose to take. There's no wrong answer. It's really going to depend on what play-style you think you'll have, and what you see yourself doing later in the game.

It's not even just the dragons you'll need to focus on. You'll want to do research too. Look at all the research trees and study them and make a game plan based on where you see yourself. Try not to neglect parts of the tree before you upgrade to the next Town Hall unless it's something you really feel you won't need.

    Good Luck!!!

Sometimes they have deals where the first one is free, but it's really not free, just some people get to get it for free with a special that they have going on. (I got mine for free, some people paid for their first one before the deal came again)
