🎉 ATA Day is around the corner and we wanted to kick things off with an AMA with our development team! 🎉 Ever wonder what midnight snacks fuel our devs, or how many iced strawberry matcha lattes it really takes to launch an update? Now’s your chance to find out! In anticipation of ATA Day 2025, we’re hosting an Ask Me Anything session with the dev team. To participate, simply drop your questions in the AMA Typeform linked below! We will be accepting questions until 12 PM on Friday, August 29th. Just remember: keep it fun, respectful, and community-friendly. Just good vibes and curiosity all around. We’ll pick the best questions to answer so get creative, be curious, and let’s celebrate ATA Day together! 🫶 Here are some ideas to get you started: What’s the weirdest bug you’ve ever had to fix? How much coffee/tea does it take to get through a launch day? What’s everyone’s all-time favorite game (besides ATA’s, of course)? What's the best piece of player feedback you've ever received? What's the worst piece of player feedback you've ever received? What’s one “behind-the-scenes” thing most players don’t know about game development? 👉 Tap HERE to submit your question! 👈 We're excited to hear from you! Answers It’s been a year since 155 opened up, is new player influx not important anymore? Or is it the shadow of the top 500 players always being alts that makes it not worthwhile -Anonymous [ATA]Luck - We are looking into opening a new realm but are wanting to make some more early and mid games changes before doing so. We are actively looking into making the experience better for our new players. There is only 1 hr window for points collection and LB finalization, which is not favourable for players in opposite time zone. Is it going to change? Fun fact: many players (in opposite time zone) stopped buying event pass due to this. -PlayNoob [ATA]Luck - We can absolutely look into making changes here to make this more fair for everyone worldwide. What Dev has been working at ata the longest and who is the rookie? -Done4 [ATA]Will - There are so many newer folks and so many ole-timers that it can be hard to pinpoint! We hire folks regularly, and we also bring in co-op students to get their first taste of the games industry, which is a great experience for them and us. Most of the folks who have been here the longest don't have player-facing roles, so they also don't have dev names that you would know them by. The current oldest team member is probably [ATA]Jean, they've worked at ATA for almost 10 years, have had their hand in a lot of your favorite updates, and are completely irreplaceable! If you could fix one thing today in KOH, no need for approval, what would it be? -Brad [ATA]Ripley - Approval is not as big a factor as you might expect, as we spend a lot of time working together on ideas and feedback. We're just a small team, and time is always our biggest constraint, which is why my chosen super power would be pausing time... However, if I could snap my fingers and give you things immediately, I personally would want to pick... More balanced zeroing mechanics, a contest of champions, UI improvements for smoother gameplay and navigation, dragon ascension mechanics, more clan functionality including clan loyalty mechanics, speed up the early game for new players, ensuring 100% bug free launches every time and... small team raid mechanics. Oh and once a year you can summon a giant do a poop in the middle of 1 player's town and it takes ages to clean up, no speedups. On the world map, their town has stink lines and flies on it. Also you can put a little wooden sign in the poop and leave a message for the dumpee on it. What’s the most ridiculous feature idea you’ve ever joked about but secretly wished you could add to the game?👀 -Anonymous [ATA]Luck - Musical chairs altars. Every 30 minutes an altar gets removed, if you clan isn't on an altar, they are eliminated. Rewards based on how far your clan makes it.
