Please... when hiring allies... let them be hired for a minimum of 2 mins. That gives us time to continue to browse for allies and to actually use them once or twice.... Allies get purchased so quickly that you never get the chance to actually have them or use them. It is very frustrating and breaks the game mechanic and makes hiring allies nearly useless.
I agree. Please either set a time limit or get ride of allies. It’s become a nuisance when playing. Allies are bought back and forth so allies with stats less than zero quickly cost millions and most players don’t understand how they work. After an ally is hired they should be un-hireable for at least few minutes.
The heck with minutes, 8 hrs is a days work, 24 hrs would be even better. The system you have now is useless in my opinion. Allies should not be a gold farm.
This is absolutely ridiculous, it would decimate the ally market. This idea brings absolutely nothing positive to the game. I can only assume this an attempt at trolling.
The positive is that you'd be able to hire an ally and have it for more than a couple seconds before it is hired away. The ally market is exhausting when you're just trying to build up a small team but you can't hold on to anyone. The only allies I've been able to keep for any significant amount of time are over several million gold or under 105. Anything in between is snatched up within moments. Additionally, it was mentioned above, it's absurd that there are allies on the market with minimal added stats going for several hundred thousand gold... This is partially because of the furious rush of the market.
why should you be able to take an ally from someone else and have the ability to keep it for a time when you bought it from someone yourself? You bought it from someone, so they can buy it back. You pay what you're willing to pay, and they pay what they're willing. Someone is going to feel it's not worth the price eventually and give up, and that's when you get to keep the ally...but having a set time? Nope, I don't agree. If you really want it, you'll have to pay more than the next guy.
In this theoretical safe time, the person you've bought the ally from has had an amount of time with it too. I'm not saying it has to be 24 hours or anything, but like 5-10 minutes would be nice. Enough to use the ally advantage you've just paid for. Just my opinion.
Hire slightly overpriced allies, they will stick with you longer. The ally market is meant to be set by the players, by putting a do not hire timer on an ally you are inhibiting the ally market. If someone wants an ally they should be able to hire it, after all, if someone else wants the ally, even after you hired it, you hired an at market, or an underpriced ally. The biggest issue with the ally market is in the active hire range, 100 to 250,000ish where any ally, no matter the stats is likely to get quickly hired away. People hiring in this range are likely just starting out, and seeing their allies get hired away quickly might discourage them from playing the game. I would be in support of a five minute processing period where the original owner retains the benefits of the ally for up to five minutes, as long do not collect their uncollected gold from the ally sale or rehire the same ally. This will allow the market to continue to set itself, while allowing the newer players to make use of, and learn about the ally market. A market that as you grow, becomes vital to your success in the game.
