With the idea of a resource market already out there. I’d like to see a Resource Exchange building, where one can post resources they do not want to the entire realm, and have it up for trade for resources they want. That way you are not limited to nodes or your clan to get resources, but instead the whole realm has the ability to trade with one another, the same idea could apply for relics, and obviously taxes would be included, the same general idea could apply to cross realm trading, or potential other items that could be added to the game.
Unfortunately it would lead to abuse of the system and at the same point would cripple the entire pvp aspect of it
Just use the swap bundles, thats their purpose. There isn't another way to do it without it being abusable
As for the pvp aspect. Its commonly known that defense is heavily favored. A solo person would find it tough to take on a single player around there might as is, so I would think pvp is fine as is. As for being abusable, if you are paying other resources in exchange for someone elses then i dont see how that could be an issue. Much like with markets of other games as well, the prices for high value resources such as gold would likely rise so someone wouldnt be able to just do 1 for 1 and instead gold’s value could be say 5 to 1. Add in the taxes, these systems have a way of balacing themselves. And in that way its no different from trading with a clanmate, it allows every player to interact with one another through a generalized trading system, and would be no different from the already common occurence of multiple accounts being made so someone can funnel resources to themselves.
Or in that regard. If there is a problem with a realm setting the prices. The game makers themselves are able to set exchange rates. As this is a forum for discussing these things, rather than telling me my idea is bad, provide examples and feedback to the idea and what problems could arise, or how these problems can be resolved
Ok, I have 37m food and 29m ore over my cap with nothing to spend it on (360k food every 16 hours on troop training) and I convert it to gold now I have significantly increased my gold value which means I have now invested it all in allies significantly increasing my strength and defense.
Add taxes onto that or exhange rate. Like i said. Defense is already heavily favored, if 1 gold = say 5 food, or what have you. Just because you can switch it doesnt mean you gain a better tradeoff. Or for that matter. If its a market where you buy and sell between players, there would be a trading post limit/max amount you can trade. Add that to someone actually having to take you up on your trade offer. I dont see a way to quickly switch off unless you are lowering your own trade prices substantially. This isnt a just swap at will type of system, merely an extension of the resource sending mechanic, except it spans all players and instead you pay one another for what you want. Regardless of what value that YOU may set. It all runs off its own value market which fluctuates based on what players want and value more
I wish we could use those resource swap bundles more than once every 24 hours. I love those, especially when I'm going particularly hard on a monster event and need to use up some food quickly.
I love the swaps, give a lot of for the price, not mentioning how you get more resources than started, speed ups, shields, teleports, and dragon eggs. They are really op
As previpusly stated. It runs like an actual market between other players, it doesnt have to be specifically resource, but other things could be used to exchange for resources with other players, or for that matter even jewels (i dunno about jewels though). But it still runs off the fact that your deal has to be desireable to another player, many games use a market system, this is pretty much just the same system.
Here’s what will happen, the large players will absorb the market and take all the desired resources leaving the small guy in the dust and create an even further gap and that’s not even including the players who spend real money
Man I have yet to see you say a single positive thing in this forum, why is that? It is absolutely dreadful to read. I'm wondering if the lack of activity in here is due to the constant berating you post over and over and over.
I have no issues telling somebody what a bad idea is. Everybody already complains about the gap between f2p and p2p and this post is the perfect example of how that would even further increase the gap. For example what’s to stop Donno from acquiring everything? I mean seriously last scout I check he had a billion ore overcap. It’s just plain and simple this idea is a game breaking suggestion.
