Why take these away? Yes, some realms there are people being asshats and zero'ing people that break ties. Those people can zero people for other superficial reasons too ya know. Ties allow more people to build up, and not just the top 3-5 rich players that throw 500$ a week or whatever into the game. I'm close to upgrading to TH24, something that'll take me about 20 days. Without ties being a thing, it will literally take me 15-18 days to get that upgraded. Not too bad, not good but not too bad. Then there's the 25 jump..... 40-50 days for every top lvl tech research and building. Over a day just to train T4 troops. You're literally stalling a large chunk of players on each realm that are counting on those speed ups with the vain hope that the mid range coiners will pick up their money spending to try competing with the beasts. Sorry, but if ties go away my 100-200$ a month goes away and I doubt I'll be the only one. It's a combat related game. If tie breakers get beat up that sucks for them, but more often than not tie breakers aren't the massive beast players, so they're gonna eventually get beat up in this game no matter what you do. Without the ties, they'll have no chance to build back up and most of them will just say f*** this game and quit. Think it through ATA...
100% agree, the fact that ties allow more realm growth is one of the things that appeals to a lot of players Without them you’ll only see a handful of players from the top 2-3 clans winning every event and the realms activity will drop massively
I will miss the ties. I really love the ties, but I do see what ata is talking about. They were giving out way more rewards than they had intended for first place. They are a business after all. When they put the rewards out there, it was made for one person to get first, 1 to get second etc. With all of the rewards going out and there being 50 people deciding to tie for first, that kind of broke what they were doing. So, they had a few options. Share the rewards evenly between players... Now first place may get worse rewards than 2nd and even 3rd. Make the rewards less valuable to account for all of the players getting first... No one would want to even compete for bad rewards. Make it first come first win and duke it out for first. They feel we'll compete more for it and play the game as intended. Honestly, they said they hadn't intended ties months ago. I'm amazed it lasted as long as it did. We were literally taking advantage of and exploiting a flaw in the game. I don't want ties to go. I love ties...but I only love ties because it gives me first place rewards for minimal efforts. I'm not playing the game as intended. I'm doing just enough to tie and stopping there. Definitely not what they intended. No matter what I feel, I do know that 50 way ties are way more ties than ATA had envisioned. I get it...I hate that it has to change...but I get it... If we are getting all those rewards for no effort, why buy them? There are way more of those speed ups out there than they intended. They are a business. I just hope they add more places for rewards...that would be nice to see. There are way more players now in each realm. Back when there were less, those numbers worked, but with the numbers we have now in each realm, it's just not enough.
Yes it is a business, and how much of their revenue is gonna dry up when players realize they can't compete with the players that perpetually have 300k to 500k gems at all times? If I can at least tie for first I have an incentive to keep spending money, cause on my realm we for the most part tie on events and a larger chunk of the player base gets to grow. How long will most players keep playing when you look at a 50 day build and might get a few hours in speed ups per day? Waiting around is boring when you're trying to advance. Months ago they said ties weren't intended but they also said they didn't intend to do anything about it. If there are 30-50 way ties they should probably limit it, maybe 10 people per rank starting from the first to reach that tie mark. Anyone that hits that tie mark after the 10 person just gets marked as 2nd and another 10 go to second, etc. That way once the top ten fill out anyone that wants to get 1st has to jump and risk the realms wrath or just still with 2nd place for an event. Another thing they could always do is give us an alternate way to earn speed ups. Reach a certain res collection mark throughout a 24hr mark as opposed to just the events, get a speed up. Earn xx number of points over what you need for your dragon quest you get xx speed ups, etc.
My main line of thinking is their main source of income from this game is most likely not the players just starting out, it's the mid range to mid-high players trying to at least put up a somewhat viable fight. The beasts that shell out 50-100 a day or every few days are rare, people willing to shell out 50$ a week are much more common than those top 1-2 players, and those are the people most likely benefitting from ties. Those are also the ones most likely that're gonna stop handing ATA money when that can't compete/grow with those 1-2 players.
If you’re looking at 50 days upgrades you should prolly focus more on say maxed out studies they do significantly decrease research times and such when maxed out and have the max allotted built for your town hall. Jewels are easily procured through monsters slain and titans killed.
Monsters give 200ish a kill, Titans give 500 for lvl 1, 1k for lvl 2 and even then only for the killing blow. The gem nodes take bloody forever even with research lvl'ed up now. Sorry to say it but there is no way removing the ties won't just drastically slow down the game for all but an elite(rich) few. If they want to sabotage their own players, eat up more of their players time on the off chance they get a few people to spend some more money, I wish them the best. I am willing to bet it won't work, and it'll just off their mid range players, hopefully enough to stop spending their money when it's the devs themselves trying to put the brakes on.
Kill 3 monsters there 600 that takes what a minute let’s also not forget that chests drop a couple, adventures drop them, and they give free chests with them every day. You all act like Titan kills and troves are the single most important factor to growth...
I barely hit Titans unless I need the gear, because they nerfed em to begin with. Gems aren't the big factor in this game, speed ups gems just let you do what the speedups do, speed up. Coincidently what are they taking away from a large chunk of their player base? *GASP* Speed ups...
Well you’re not very bright growth-wise if you don’t hit titans every chance you get they pay the most per attack and drop tons of dragon food.
Eh, honestly though it's 500 gems lvl 1 kill 1k gems for a lvl 2 kill...the lvl 2 troves used to be awesome before the nerf, but atm you aren't gonna be able to catch up to most spenders no matter how much brew you have, largely because of reductions and other similar factors designed to increase spending and squash out f2p
Don't forget about dragon XP. You would do well to hit titans for the relics, the food and the XP even if you aren't hitting it for the gems. You know XP helps make your dragons stronger, right? Stronger dragons = harder hitters in PvP battles too. You get Dragon food too. Even if the gems aren't worth it, the other things are, especially if it's somewhat nearby, and even more if it's the same dragon as needed for the DQ, heck, if you're lucky and get kill shot, that could really help you finish that DQ way fast. It's not all about the gems though the gems are a nice touch.
As one of those elite few big spenders in a realm; I'd like to first state that it is all about the gems. Secondly now that trove gather speed has been nerfed titans are only useful for the relics and nothing else. I get more dragon XP and jewels from hitting lvl8 monsters than I do from lvl 2 Titans. Killing monsters and Titans isn't a solution to helping lower players catch up too big players. Big players can kill higher lvl monsters faster.
Maybe cause if I need to March 2-3mins one way to hit a Titan vs make 4-5 round trips hitting monsters, which one is worth more of my time? By the time they made the changes to the and and Titan nodes I could barely hit a lvl 2 Titan anyway, so never got to experience them before the current waste of time they are.
You gain more experience, more rss, more dragon food drops, and Titan only relics from hitting titans. So please enlighten me on how they’re only good for a few jewels
I would not be surprised in the least if she was. As for you silly little person, my argument on this thread has always been about why I think ties in the hourly events should be left in the game. I have never said Titans were only good for gems drops and if you think I have, well you're an idiot. My argument is about helping a larger portion of the player base grow via speeding up their game play, so instead of taking 1.5 months to finish a tech or building upgrade it might only take 1-2 weeks. Kindly off with your arguments about Titans and stay on point or . If you want to suck-face with Titans, make a thread yourself for it.
If you’re already doing th25 you should prolly slow down like a lot and work on your buildings so they don’t take you 1.5months
