why is koh so overpriced ? Surely everyone has noticed just how money hungry this dying game is. Like just look at the cost of shields, I play a new game and I get 7day Shields for less than 1$, and I get daily rewards for simply login. Koh doesn’t give you crap, and they charge so much for everything. Look at the price of beers, it’s more expensive than caviar. So my question is a simple one, why is this game so expensive!??!
I’m confused because every time I see you post it’s a complaint on this awesome game... If you don’t like it as much as you keep saying you should probably just delete it?
Awesome lol I will post as I wish, if you don’t like it don’t read my posts. It’s that simple, I have major questions and bring to light major issues that persist constantly.
Only complaint on prices I have is with the jewel packs. A 4.99 bundle is 6k jewels and other things like shards and speed ups and tokens. So around 1200 jewels per dollar. A 4.99 jewel bundle is 1200 jewels only. I’d like to see that jewel only bundles made about 5-6x their value to meet a similar value at least in jewels. They may have a reason for this but I think they’d sell those jewel only bundles more often if it was actually a decent jewel to dollar ratio offered.
It's so expensive because people pay. I noticed how expensive it was when payments opened up in beta. Heavy spenders are willing to pay certain prices for things that we light spenders aren't. I think ATA thought the prices would discourage people from reaching end game in a few months...But I think it didn't bother heavy spenders. This is all just what everyone is willing to spend...
Yeah, but also people get charged different rates depending on what country they live in. They could have implemented spending caps, like many other companies/games do. The cofounder said in a interview that whale spending was bad for any game, and only created boom-bust cycle games... So it didn’t really stop the whale spenders, the shields are also so overpriced especially if you purchase them with gems! It makes the mind boggles for certain.
Heard of it, never played it. KoH is my first game of this type. I generally wouldn't have chosen this game type, but ATA made it and closed Smash, so I stuck around with it since beta.
I’m fine with that price, would hate seeing a lot of ppl under 7 day protection cheap, I mean if ppl were using it cuz of rl like vacations for the summer etc then yeah would wish the price is lower. However I feel like the majority would just hide in shield all week so they could farm monsters in peace and treat the game like a real FarmVille. That is the only reason why I’m glad it’s expensive. The thing I feel should be cheaper would be teleports. I don’t feel like their balanced at all cuz the main ones can go around teleporting everywhere are the hardcore spenders of the game. They don’t even need to teleport as bad cuz their marches are super quick already from the research they gem through. The ones who actually need the teleports like that are the smaller players. I know everyone has seen the sad speed of a march of guards. What would be a 9min trip for them could be less then 3mins from higher tier troops. That is just sad, and makes pvp events suck for them. I’m not saying it’s not possible but it sure does take hella lot more time then it should. That is why I think teleports should be either somewhat cheaper then they are currently, there should be a better bundle pack for them in the market then the lame one we got currently, or during pvp events maybe cut the teleport price in half during the duration of the event. I think any of these would help compared to what we have now.
Lord's Mobile is essentially another kingdom builder, but with Chinese dominated realms. Since everyone over in China has cheaper p2w packages. Something like if we were charged 10 bucks for the platinum key pack, chinese players would be charged something that of 5 bucks in Yuan - USD.
This game is cheap and has alot of 4.9$ deals that are worth buying. ATA does also promo packs too for whatever event is on which is really nice. PS. Buying through jewel store is a mistake
ROFL, try playing Three Kingdoms Online... Kingdom builder based on Chinese history. To even be remotely competitive you have to start the night a server starts AND shell out 500-1000$, day one. Once you get your first city built up high enough to start another city you have to do it all over again, and again, and again, and mid to late game you unlock units that can actually delevel your buildings if you fail to defend your cities. In this game you can lose all your troops. In THAT game... Your buildings can get reset back to 0...
Once people started paying $200-300 in the beta I think the devs realized they could make good money. It’s why they do bundle packs. You get more for a better deal and it keeps people buying. Brilliant strategy. However, you also do NOT HAVE TO PAY to be good at the game. That’s the good part. If you’re impatient paying helps get things built I suppose, but you don’t have to pay to win or whatever. They do give out pretty generous handouts if you are active. That’s all that it takes. Be active, attack goblins and . Take part in events and you’re set. Cheers love!
Yeah you’re not lying. The top guy spent like $2500 from what I heard. Got it all back then dropped it again to be top when the game released
Because the games goal is to bleed you dry. Zeroing is a death sentence, you'll go months attemptng to limp back partial strength. War game huh, steals from you. We lose players ever week due to a few things: boredom, expense, zeroing.. This is only serves the company.. Punishment that only the big spenders stay with.
