Can't upgrade town hall to level 5

Can't find embassy to build...how do I find and build it?
Can't go any farther without it.

 

Just FYI, everything is limited by the TH. You can not build anything past the Townhall level. If your Townhall is level 4, you can't make the treasury 5 before you make the Townhall 5.

Try going into Extras and and Clear Tech Tree all the way at the bottom to see if anything changes. (you can also clear the Cache while you're in there)
Just make sure that when you clear those that you're on WIFI if you want the game to download all the assets faster...plus, if you don't have unlimited data, you will not want to do it on your cellular data anyway.

You have to defeat some monster invaders in your land to make room to build an embassy. You may have to build other buildings first before you get a chance to build the embassy. Build 1 of everything that you can and upgrade those to as far as you can and you may see the option to build the embassy pop up. Don't forget about your Waritorium.

 

It is also most effective if you max out ALL your available buildings before moving to the next townhall level.

 

I’m not able to upgrade any buildings up to level 8 because they say my town hall isn’t level 8, but it is. Everything is upgraded to level 7. I have all the resources I need too.

 

When you click to upgrade something and you can't. It tells you what you need. Click the eye icon to the right of anything written in red and it takes you to the highest level version of that building.

Again click build, if you can't I scrolls you down, click the eye icon and so forth. If you are stuck in a visciius cycle, you have a well known bug. The short term fix is to close all menus, click the up arrow icon in the bottom left corner of the UI.

Click extras, then scroll all the way to the bottom, click "Clear Cache" then click "Clwar Tech Tree" the latter should ask you to restart the game. Click restart.
