Announcement Introducing Flurri!

As the Heckledays approach, you might be surprised by the sense of calm that descends upon the normally tumultuous land of Heckfire. The citizens decorate their homes with festive lights, enjoy seasonal treats and huddle around crackling fires telling stories and singing songs. Even as the nights grow longer (Which is typically the time when the things with pointy teeth make themselves known), there is nonetheless a prevailing sense of contentment and safety. After all, at least for now, they are not the ones being hunted. As the temperature drops and the snows fall, the beast of winter descends from the frozen peaks of their mountain home to lay claim to their seasonal territory and nest within the city walls. Like a chill wind, the mere mention of its name can freeze the blood in the veins of its prey. Even the most fearsome creatures, those that lurk in darkest night and crawl out of the forgotten places know better than to intentionally cross paths with the beast, lest their shattered remains become the latest adornment within its lair, frozen and glinting in the soft glow of the moonlight.

For all of her prodigious polar power, Flurri really just wants to spread Heckleday cheer across the cities of Heckfire, asking for nothing in return except to have her soft fluffy belly rubbed. She loves nothing more than stringing up decorations and giving good little children presents in their carefully hung stockings. Sure, the decorations are made of shredded monster entrails and the gifts she gives the children are chunks of hydra bones with bits of flesh still clinging doggedly to them, but her heart is in the right place (unlike that of the Hydra, which is presently on the mantle). And after all, isn’t the greatest gift of all not being eaten by monsters? We’d like to think so. Embrace the true meaning of the Heckledays today with Flurri!
