The ally mechanic is extremely painful and needs to be improved to work well. My suggestions are 1) make the ally “store” only show viable allies. I don’t think this would be hard, just eliminate the most useless allies from the list. So maybe at any price point drop the bottom 25%. 2) let me set my price when I buy an ally. If I want to pay 5M, let me pay 5M. Don’t make me spend 20 minutes bidding it to 5M
I think you’re missing the point. I understand how it works. Unfortunately it mostly tosses out garbage choices so I don’t think anyone actually uses it to find allies. As for the price, if I see an ally that I think is worth 10M gold, but is priced at 1M, I can buy him and have to bid back and forth to get to 10M. I would like to just type in 10M and pay that much and see if someone wants to pay more. Basically I’d like control of my own bid.
The process of buying an ally back and forth is called volleying. Why on earth would you not want to volley an ally from one million to ten million? You will make ~million in profit from the volley.
