I don't know how all realms are, but at least in my realm, three clans have formed a pact. No one fights, three clans just get massive bonuses for nothing. Today's changes only make the incentive for that to continue worse. The fundamental problem is the advantages of collusion massively outweigh the the advantages of cheating and going to war. I'm sure the intention behind no troop losses was to foster more competition, but this is a silly minor after-thought relative to the retribution of the mega alliances if a clan attempted to challenge them. The issue is not in taking the shrines it's in having all the other top clans raining hellfire if a move is made. All shrines have done in my realm is widen the gap between the top three clans. Honestly it just makes people wanna stop playing. The top clans are less active and yet get massive bonuses simply because they made huge alliances. All I heard from today's update is a plan to make it more lucrative and continue rewarding essentially inactive players in top clans with huge bonuses that the top three members of their clans de-facto secure with the backing of mega alliances. My first preference is ATA admits shrines were a mistakeband ohases them out entirely in order to focus on clan titans and such. Such things have been promised for months but the coninuing disaster from shrines seems to continue requiring developer time. However, since the developers seem entrenched, here are a few suggestions... 1. Make shrine activation vary by realm. Shrines in younger realms make essentially no sense in my view, whereas in older realms they do make sense. Collusion in younger realms is easy, collusion in older clans is likely harder as they are more cut throat to begin with. 2. Make it so that a clan cannot be on the same shrine two events in a row. Sure, many clans will teleport around and still collude or just send a few people, but this is would be way more effective than all these silly gimicks of late. 3. Make certain realms not have shriness at all so as to give people a break from their nonsense. 4. Literally the opposite of today's update - make shrine deaths WAY higher. Deaths on shrine islands should be tripple of other places. This will give clans an incentive to cheat collusion agreements because they could deal fatal blows to their rivals. Also, people love the troop kills. 5. Cap the number of people per clan who can be inside the shrine islands. 6. Minimum death counts or might loss in order to take the strongholds or cores. The stronghold has been seriously challenged exactly once in my clan. I don't think there has been a single fatality since then. The current approach to shrines is demonstrably not working, otherwise why would we they be changed every third week? Hopefully some of these suggestions that I made can elevate shrines to a moderately tolerable feature of the game. -Mbs
Lol I hate the shrines event... In our realm, it’s just one clan that dominates the event, been capturing stronghold like 8 times in a row now.
