    Click the tools button, from there you will see th option to delete the post.

    I see thread tools and that only allows me to edit title or add poll. The post tools only let's me edit or report

    Ohh, you are right, I am mistaken. Normally you can delete a post through the tools button when does not appear you can when you are the OP.
