I’m fine with the FFA concept, but think that the 5 tiers below rewards encourage the bigger players to take out people who are smaller. A system that rewarded for attacking bigger players and for being attacked by bigger players might encourage more interaction between players of similar size.

What do you mean? The 5 town halls lower is there to discourage people from attacking weaker players. There is also a system that you get 2x points for attacking 2 th near, but I think it should be 2 town halls up except for th 24 & 25 which should be the same...

Five town halls makes a big difference...especially when you consider a 13 Doesn’t have tier 3 troops unlocked. It can be incredibly unbalanced. Not that town hall level is the be all end all to determine strength...but it does indicate what someone could have.

I was just saying that since you said that gaining no points town hall 5 levels under you encourages zeroing weaker people. It does not. While I do think that it should probably be around 3, Heckfire added that to discourage people attacking people 6 town halls and under

I did not say it encouraged zeroing people...I’m asking for something that discourages it. I’m asking for more thought into what it means for an attacker to be fighting within their level. Five levels different is obscene. Encouraging attacking the same size or larger would be more appropriate. It’s all about fair fighting instead of trouncing the little guys just because you can.

ATA could make it so players only get double points for attacking someone of the same TH level or higher. That would at least make it so players will need to be challenged to get double points.

As for what you are asking, FFA has nothing to do with why big players zero the small players. In many realms that happens outside of FFA's since many players shield during FFA events. Though if you want to discourage players from attacking much smaller players during FFA, you could do so by having them get regular points for attacking 2 th under. In all honesty it isn't very beneficial for players to attack 5 th under since they usually have t2's (or t3's if a th25 is attacking th20's). They get more points for attacking players with t4's.

I see a point in your logic, but also realize that as town halls increase, PVP generally decreases. FFA with town hall 25s together would be the most boring event. I think that the curve should not be linear - but you are right - a fight between th 14 and a th 9 would be a massacre.
