Greetings citizens of Heckfire! We are making some changes to the way our story pass works, and wanted to share this exciting development with you all! Do you find yourself having to skip through the story because it comes up at the wrong time? Want to be able to read it and chuckle at your leisure, rather than the exact moment you earn enough tokens to unlock it? Well then this update is for you! Introducing Story Tokens! With Story Tokens, you control when the page turns. Previously, when you earned the requisite number of meta tokens, you would be treated to a story sequence. Now when you reach those Meta Quest levels you will be rewarded with a special STORY KEY that allows you to unlock a story token in the “Limited” tab of the shop. To get you started, the first Story Tokens can be unlocked in the shop for free! In addition, Premium pass holders can also unlock three special PREMIUM STORY CHAPTERS by striving to reach their challenge goals. Each time you open a story or Premium Story chest, the next segment of the saga will play out. You can use the keys at any time, and so it’s up to you how and when you want to experience the unfolding story. FAQ Q. How many keys can you earn throughout the event? A. There will always be exactly enough keys to unlock the entire story, with no extras leftover. Q. Can I stock up my keys from this event to use on the next? A. Nope, the story keys (Both Story keys and Premium Story keys) will only be useable on their unique event and cannot be used on future events, and will be cleared out after the event has concluded. Q. What if I don’t really want to see the story? A. That’s okay too! You are not required to redeem your story chests, and it will not impact your other rewards in any way. Do keep in mind though that we will not be able to unlock the story for you after the event expires so make sure that’s what you want before you let the story pass you by! Q. Does this make the story harder to unlock? A. Not at all, this is not a change meant to alter balance. The only difference is that it is more player friendly and lets you choose the pace that you want to experience the story.
