WTF with the Yyrrrkk shards events

What's the reasoning behind offering Yyrrrkk shards for solo events, let alone BOTH construction and research? And, whatever the answer is, can you please change them back to Frank/Ruby/Chomper? Or (waaaay less preferable) at least do rotations the biome if you want to keep offering guardian dragon shards?

Right now I have 0 incentive to participate in these events
