The wiser still listen carefully, for their eyes will not warn them of the worst of these creatures, nor will the light deter it, for there is not one square inch of this place that it fears to tread. Those that hear the scraping of chitinous shells against stone, or the rhythmic pattern of oozing, sucking footfalls should flee, even into the darkness if necessary. For it is better to take your chances with the nameless horrors than to stand still and give in to inevitable doom. For these tunnels were carved by the beast in the dark. They are its home.
