Many people have different play styles. Some want to be PvP heavy and prefer attacking and rallying rather than defending and hiding. Others prefer the PvE aspect of the game. Building: If you're more PvP oriented, you'll either want to be more of a defender or more an attacker. Your Hospital and wards really come in handy here. These increase the capacity of your hospital. (More hospital beds for more troops to survive) Having your embassies built and upgraded allow for more ally slots (More allies = More land type bonuses like army strength and additional resources), and a higher Rally leader march cap. This means you can start a rally and have more people join your rally than someone without as many embassies (pretending your research is the same) Upgrade the dragon spire. This is where you get more dragons per march. The dragon altars are great for making your dragons stronger faster (greater details in my "How To Train Your Dragon" guide. This is good for PvP and PvE oriented people. Stronger dragons = a stronger attack. The barracks and training pits are useful for those who want to train troops faster. Upgrading your training pit allows you to train more troops at once. Building and upgrading barracks speeds up training time (there's research for this too -training textbooks in City growth, training speed boosts in army strength) One downfall in this is troop bloat, especially seen when players quickly train troops without doing research. Many weak troops is not as good as less strong troops. You'll see a difference in army strength and in how many survive when you start researching. No matter what you do, having studies built and upgraded really helps cut down research time. You could shave days off of research times. Research: No matter what your focus is, you'll want to research Dragon March Cap, which can be found in all trees of research. Concurrent marches. You want to be able to send more marches at a time. If you are more PvP oriented, you'll want to focus on Scout level (higher scouts can get info on more people, while those lower than you can't get any info on you) Anything that speeds up troop training speed (City growth troop training textbooks, army strength Troop Type Training Speed Boost) Troop Type Toughness Bonus (less likely to get hurt) Troop Type Strength Bonus (stronger attacks) City defender march cap -army strength tree (can reinforce with more troops per march...or hide more per march in a shielded clan mate) Rally reinforcement cap -army strength- (can join rallies worth more troops) When you get to tiers 3 & 4, you get healing speed boosts At the bottom of the City Growth section are more hospital caps, garrison caps and city defenders caps (more people can defend you) and some more survivability and lethality boosts. In the biome specific research at the bottom, you'll find some research that are great for your dragons. The Dragon XP Boost is great, you'll also like the biome specific monster attack bonus and biome specific player attack and defender bonus. (You will want to be on the biome you're strongest in) There are even biome specific ally bonuses you can research. If you prefer to go the PvE route, you'll like the monster hunting section and the resource gathering section. As well as the biome specific research. You'll find sections that are monster attack specific, or that can be used to speed up gathering. Dragon March Cap is always useful. As I said before, it's found in all trees of research. No matter what you do, having free speed ups and the construction hammer will help speed up times. If you really want to cut down your corpse clear time, you can research that too from the City Growth section. You may want to take some time to figure out your desired play style and research and build according to that. I don't recommend upgrading your town hall until all of your buildings are at the same level as your town hall. Even better if you are able to do all the research you can do at your town hall level before upgrading. It's not always feasible though, but worth trying. I made this guide with help from Rude (with her Ally gold calculations) and many others who helped me get data in some unlock orders. The last dragons still need verification on when exactly they unlock. I hope this is useful. I edited this section to add some more info. I can't wait to learn how to resize images on here, lol.
