Android Not getting chest rewards

Hey, I'm having a hard time with the chest purchases. I stopped using real money because I wasn't recovering what I was buying. Another issue I am having is one I can't really ss. When I purchase a chest with gems or rss, it shows that I'll get (i.e.) a 3 hour speed up, but when I go to my speedups, it shows i have zero. Am I misunderstanding something?
