A simple question. On the whole...do you believe the game benefit from the removal of shrines or not? My vote is yes. My spending has been cut to less than a third of what it was because of shrines. Shrines are unfun and now they mess with the leadersboard. A 230m kid ranks higher than me now. I was top 20 In my realm before shrines sucked the fun out...top 40 when I went to bed last night...now barely in top 50. Not a good business model...
It's kind of a waste for most of us. The other special events (the thing with the eggs, etc.) are a lot more fun and aren't so dependent on being one of the bigs to enjoy. Maybe send the top 5 to 10 clans from each realm to a special one where they can play for shrines and annihilate each other?
Fine, then give them their own VIP realm where they have to compete against others who also have spent a lot of money to get to the top of the leader boards. Make them sweat it out against other players of size rather than allowing them to gleefully zero out players and clans they know don't have the might or the spending power to fight back.
Shrines are meant as an end game feature.... and I’m 99% sure the LB will go back to normal when this shrine cycle is over
So, send the end-gamers to their own realm where they have to battle clans of similar size and strength.
Lol, ATA probably won't do that. A realm for top spenders? Where'd they draw the line on who gets in or who has to go to that realm? And what about their clans? Do they leave their clans to join a new realm and form a new clan? They don't have enough incentive to move up to the top realms as it is... It'd be nice if they'd give incentives to do so rather than force all top players into a realm and away from their clans...but feedback has been left on that already. We'll only have to wait and see how ATA responds to those. Haha, TBH it'd be cool to see an event where the best people from each realm visit a special realm to battle it out with each other for special events, then get returned to their realms after they compete...but not sure that ATA would do all that just for our amusement. Haha, also...that'd mean I wouldn't get to watch the fights unfold, and that's half the fun of some of these events.
Fairly easy for ata to sort by spending and size.. Your accounts you stats. You're just hoping to recoup more funds from struggling smaller accounts. Shame, shame, shame
I agree, shrine only penalize those who cannot participate. I completely seperate game for bigs only.. How about improving retention by increasing war actions, decreasing long over drawn rebuilding
Hermione, I'm certain a simple comparison of account size and associated spending adjusted for amount of time one has been playing the game (for instance, did someone rack up over a billion in might in a matter of weeks or did it take 8 or 10 months?) would give ATA a very clear picture of who would belong in such a realm and who wouldn't. And of course these players would have to form new clans in that realm. That shouldn't be hard as many will likely find allies from clans in their old realms to join up with. So, this actually isn't terribly difficult.
Yeah, but ATA probably won’t do it. Imagine you being a big spender and now you are forced into a realm with other big spenders... they’d think it was totally unfair.
But they always tut-tut the smalls about how it's a war game so suck it up and compete. Funny to think they wouldn't want to do that if there was any actual risk involved.
It is a war game but if you take the top spenders from every realm to make a "special" high rollers realm it is unfair. The realms all have different maturities. You are complaining about how an obvious pay to win game is unfair because somebody is paying more than you. Why should I be separated from my friends because you don't like how much I spend? But let's say this happens, there will be somebody else who replaces the top 5 who will do exactly the same as your current top 5
I just like the way hermione put it. Why not add incentives for moving up realms? Maybe realm 10 has special bonuses or different quests. Forcing heavy spenders to a realm by themselves is unfair, but by providing incentives, heavy spenders may voluntarily join these realms.
Then an additional adjustment can be made for relative age of the realm or perhaps you would have a few different VIP realms to address that. And creating incentives to move up would be a fine idea.
