Event Showdown: Cute vs Scary!

Greetings Citizens of Heckfire!

As our terrifying meta event becomes a spooky memory, there's still a bit of chilling energy in the air! Before we leave the ghosts and ghouls behind, we're getting into the spirit one more time with a screaming special showdown as we strive to answer that most burning of Halloween questions: Who truly reigns supreme between the scream inducingly scary and the heart meltingly cute? To put this question to the test we are releasing two special avatars and you, citizens of Heckfire, will be tasked with deciding which will be crowned the victor by voicing your support for Team Cute or Team Scary!

Voting in Heckfire has come a long way, and you no longer need to sign a blood pact with a dark power to have your say. Instead, head to the Shop and collect a mysterious new chest, bursting at the seams with 250 Heckles, a brand new currency. Once you've got your Heckles, turn your attention to the pair of 250 Heckle chests. Select the chest for the team you wish to support and voila, democracy achieved! What's more, these chests contain fabulous prizes such as speedups, resource tokens, stamps (Including the TOP SHELF variety!) or even a chance at high end booty keys. (Players of Townhall 26+ players may even see new TIER 6 Booty keys!). Every player who opens at least one chest will also be entered into a draw to win the avatar they voted for, with 150 each of our cute and scary avatars available to WIN. Once voting has concluded, the draw will begin and winners will be notified over the next few days so watch your mailbox!



Every player will be able to vote with their free Heckles, but those who want to really tip the scales can purchase additional Heckles via special IAPs and open as many chests as they like. Each opened chest amplifies your voice by adding another vote for your side and earns you another entry into the avatar draw. You can even choose to vote for both sides to enter both draws as many times as you wish, you double agent you!

Any used Heckles will also be tracked in a special quest, with each star completed providing additional bonuses such as gold and silver Dragon chest keys, Tier 6 Booty keys and even the opportunity to obtain your avatar of choice before the draw even occurs so you can show off your allegiance in style! (Players who obtain their avatar in this way will still be eligible for the avatar draw and will receive the other avatar if they win.)

For those with leftover Heckles, have no fear (Beyond the usual, seasonal sort!). There will be opportunities to both earn and spend them in the future, so today's leftovers are tomorrow's headstart!
