lol tbf, if I don't have any dragons on and/or sent away most or all of my troops, a TH20 could totally set me on fire too.

Staying at low TH levels to compete for rewards only works to a point. You want to be going up because

    1. You can get more studies which pay the leaderboard rewards back and some. At TH 25 you can build 10!
    2. You get cheaper research timer unlocks.
    3. There are some srsly good rewards as you go up.
    4. RSS numbers become so high you need to start planning how you are going to save them.
    5. Building a troop bloat of t3 is as dumb as building a troop bloat of t2 was.

    Best strat imo is.

    1. Max studies for your TH. Leave them at 22 as you make a first push to th24 and then a final push to th25
    2. Get your altars to 18. Then feed your dragons with good biome exp
    upgrades.
    3. As you hit TH24 do not instantly make a huge t4 army. If you just build them slowly. When you unlock training pit 25 with UGs you reduce there cost by over 30%.
    4. At TH25 unlock Uni 25 first as this allows you to build a 10th study.
    5. Sit at TH22 and compete for the rss gatherer event. I was making 70+hours in spd ups a day doing it.

    GL!

Illest, give me one reason why you at TH 20 would not be able to set someone on fire that was half your might. Troops? 😂 This discussion is about TH vs might so the point is stop clinging to excuses about how you are strong for you TH and admit if your march is trash for your might because of bloat or other reasons. If donno was a TH 20 he could still hit 100bil or more easily and his dragons would still be maxed with enough money into brew packs especially...ally slots would be lower however it wouldn't be hard to just buy even better allies instead. All of this is to say that besides the possibilyy of construction secondary buildings going up when most TH 20 like you who stayed there out of fear of actually competeing or something even worse (trigger warning to you and half your "pretz sucks" ragtag bandit gang btw) have them all maxed and the average TH 24 only has such construction in the lvl 22 range at most. Also that last runon part was to purposely get you riled up so go ahead and enjoy noob with low march power as you fester in anger I will cook popcorn and slowly pour seasoning as I crunch it also it is hot temp because it just came out of the oven-thingy

I would assume that a TH 25 has the ability to go further in research for March Cap, troop related Strength and Toughness Bonuses, and biome specific dragon attack boosts, bonus from allies, defender bonuses and the ability to unlock T4 troops (TH 24+) etc anything having to do with march strength (not counting ally slots since that's more based on building which you covered) than a TH 20.
A lot of the power of a hit comes from the research one does. If you are limited by TH on how far you can go up in the research tree, you won't be able to go past someone who did all the research you could do and then some even if you have the same ally stats. I mean...it's totally easier if you're comparing a TH 20 with someone who rushed to 25. But Donno would have totally done all the research possible at 25 by now...and comparing a TH 25 Donno to a TH 20 Donno is not gonna work.

    (That's all I'm nitpicking about.)

Hi there katniss, why don't you actually speak your mind instead of hiding behind someone else's words

Lolol this thread is gold, so much stupidity. Staying at a low th level for too long hurts you in the end, but dividing events by might has got to be the dumbest thing I have ever read 😂 I feel like I got dumber reading it. A th 18 could never compete with a 25 regardless of might, ever

So I feel like there is one important thing to consider about the way the system is. Bracketing divides people by what I'd consider the maximum. You cant have something that someone else in your bracket cannot.

A player at town hall 15 can only get so strong. They only have 3 marches, can only hit lv5's etc...
All you can slay weekends just as an example have you competing with people to slay as many monsters as possible with higher level monster awarding more points. Now within the TH13-15 bracket there are people who are able to (at best) hit lv5s in 4 hits with 3 simultaneous marches doing more than 25% damage each.
You can compete as a ~75m might player against ~150m player in the same bracket.
Most players should be around this point.

The one exeption to this (In my opinion) is the issue of the TH23-25 bracket, where you have the TH25 players who have that extra march. Due it being such a huge jump to make that requires a lot of time and resources its horrid to compete.

TL;DR. TH Brackets account for the maximum efficiency of players within the bracket. (excluding Th23-25)

I totally agree that 25 shouldn't be in the same bracket at 23-24... That extra march is an absolute advantage.

It's always been that way, I think it's to try and force people to rush to 25 ($$$$$) I don't understand why these issues weren't rectified during/after beta? It is easy often too easy to point at the blatant errors, and mistakes especially when there are so many of them. But where does it get us ? Is there any point in mentioning them, if surely they had already been an issue in beta and nothing was done to change it before release. But these type of games are built quickly, with short term profit in mind. Make cash, close it down and move into the next one and repeat.

Yeah this doesn’t really make much sense I mean everyone controls when they upgrade TH... you also get new things for upgrading TH. Might charges far to easily as well. Sounds like maybe you’re regretting going to such a high TH before getting the research you should of.

I think it depends on what you consider most important. Iv seen some ppl focus heavily on research focusing on gaining that strength that can’t be taken away from you such as biome upgrades, march cap, troop upgrades etc, while Iv seen others build hella troops and focus on getting insane allie bonuses so nobody can really solo them like that. It really just depends on what you want to focus on cuz in my opinion both are really good. I’m leaning more toward the research route tho myself as I can only make t3 still as a th20. I feel like the bonuses would help me more since I’d eventually have to kill all the t3 off so they don’t take up hospital when I get t4. I think it’s better like this so I can get a lot of research out of the way and when doing long city defenders/dragon attack biome research that uses food and ore instead can work on allies somewhat too so they aren’t neglected. If already rushed then the lots of troops and allie bonus would probably be better for you since their stats are pretty insane. Either way is fine or if u want a blend of both just go for it. Just don’t bloat yourself upgrading unnecessary things like corpse clear research. The might from that isn’t worth it😂

Exactly, I’m a TH25 at 660mil might, but due to allies and research I can hit well over 10bil. My might is low compared to others in this demographic because I made the decision to only have one march of troops (mostly T4 pugs and some fluff in the form of T3 hunts)

You knew the mechanics of the game, should’ve slowed down your th growth *shrugs* I’m th22 and at 700m might specifically for this reason

It really doesn’t hurt you that much, I simply race to the top of the next bracket and max all my studies, then slow play construction until everything is maxed, I rack up about a thousand hours a week just winning gathering events, pretty much have maxed research at th22 now and I’m essentially f2p

It's your fault for rushing your TH lvl. You want T4 troops so bad but with your low might you obviously don't have the research to even make good use of T4 troops. You're also choosing to put yourself at an extreme disadvantage in hourly and weekend events. Good luck competing against players in the top tier who can actually hit high lvl mobs and have their troop research maxed or almost maxed.

It's easy. It's called if you don't want to push straight to 25 then stay at 22.
