Using shields - what can/can’t I do?

You can gather resources, attack monsters, and I believe scout. Attacking another player will disable your shield. The game will ask you if you’re sure you want to lose your shield I think.

 

The above post is mostly correct; however, you cannot scout while shielded. There’s a couple different types of marches,

CAN DO while shielded,

• PVE marches (titans and monsters (treants, skeletons, and goblins)
• Send resources to clan mates
• Gather resources from the realm

CANNOT DO while shielded,

• PvP marches (scouts and attacks) against other people
• Reinforce clanmates
• Gather from snow forts or crypts
