(Why) Has the Clan Pint Been Nerfed?

I think it's a pretty straightforward post. People are pretty upset about it. There doesn't appear to be a clear reason why it was necessary.

At minimum it'd be helpful to have been told of size of the Nerf, if one has occurred, as it impacts if the 1k gems is worth spending for some.
